Return-to-sport testing in Cedar Park.

A date on the calendar doesn’t prove your body is ready. Objective numbers do. We test strength and control before we clear you to play.

What It Is

Numbers, not a guess.

Six weeks post-op. Twelve weeks. Six months. Those timelines matter, but a calendar can’t tell you if your leg is actually strong enough to cut, land, or sprint again.

That’s what this testing battery is for. We run strength symmetry testing, comparing your injured side to your healthy side, so we know exactly how much ground is left to make up. Then we add single-leg hop tests, which measure the power and control you actually need on the field or court.

Those numbers, not a date, are what tell us you’re ready. It’s a cause-first evaluation of where your body stands right now, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, every visit.

Questions, Answered

Return-to-sport testing, no mystery.

Timeline clearance and objective-readiness clearance are two different things. Your doctor’s timeline tells you when tissue has typically healed. Our testing tells you whether your strength and control have actually caught up on that side. A smart return can use both: the calendar gives you a general window, the numbers confirm you’re ready to step into it.

It just means we found where the gap is before your sport did. We’ll target that specific weakness, then retest. It’s a better outcome than pushing forward on a guess and getting re-injured. Better to know now, while it’s still fixable, than to find out the hard way on the field.

Return-to-sport testing is typically a self-pay service, separate from your regular PT visits. That keeps it simple: no waiting on authorizations, no surprise codes. Call us at (737) 777-8343 and we’ll walk you through the cost before you book.
